At Game Friend, whether it's community updates, reviews, interviews, or curated content, our priority is honest, respectful, and accurate representation of the gaming world. We're committed to transparency, community trust, and keeping commercial interests out of editorial decisions.

We build Game Friend for gamers - not corporations - and everything we share is guided by those values.

Editorial Policy

Game Friend’s content is independent.
Our editorial team operates free of external influence. We do not answer to any sponsors or investors who could influence the tone or substance of our articles, reviews, or community highlights.

Conflicts of Interest

If a contributor has a personal or business relationship related to a topic (e.g., they’ve worked on a game, or are friends with developers), this will be disclosed clearly. In such cases, they may be excluded from writing or editing related content. All authors are identified by name unless the content is a broader platform update or policy notice.

Embargoes and NDAs

Game Friend may agree to embargoes or NDAs when previewing upcoming games, features, or events. However, we will never agree to terms that limit our ability to offer honest opinions or cover news in a timely and critical manner. We typically avoid embargoes on content that is already public, unless related to upcoming updates or changes to an existing product.

Travel & Gifts

Occasionally, we may accept invitations to attend events or previews that require travel, accommodations, or meals. We carefully evaluate whether this serves our community’s interests and will always seek to self-fund where possible.
We do not accept gifts with the intention of influencing our content. Low-value items may be accepted and used at our discretion (e.g., giveaways or charitable donations). Any high-value unsolicited gifts will be disclosed or declined.

Corrections Policy

We strive for accuracy in all posts and will correct factual errors as soon as they are identified. Major updates will be clearly marked with the date and nature of the correction. Minor edits, such as typos or grammar, will not be annotated unless they impact clarity or meaning.

Sourcing & Verification

We prioritize original reporting and first-hand community stories. When anonymous sources are used, we will seek independent verification before publishing. We do not pay for tips or information. If we rely on external reports, we will always credit and link to the original source.

Use of Generative AI

We do not use generative AI to write articles, reviews, or community content.
While we may cover AI-related topics when relevant to gaming, all editorial content is written by real humans. If any contributor uses AI tools without disclosure, that content will be removed.

Review Policy

Our reviews reflect the honest opinions of our writers and are free of outside influence. We do not share review scores with developers or publishers before publication. If a published review is significantly updated post-release (e.g., due to patches or re-evaluation), we will disclose that change clearly.

Affiliate Disclosure

Currently, Game Friend does not participate in affiliate marketing. If this changes in the future, we will clearly label any articles containing affiliate links, and our content decisions will remain editorially independent.
